Principal Dancer of National Ballet of China
Chen Zhuming graduated from the Ballet Major of Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2017 and entered the National Ballet of China in the same year. He now serves as the Principal Dance of National Ballet of China.
During school year, he had been served as the leading roles in the practice performance for a long time, and participated in the teaching and training of ballet masters at home and abroad for many times. After entering the Company, he danced the leading roles in Natalia Makarova's Swan Lake and La Bayadère, Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, George Balanchine's Jewels, Roland Petit's Carmen and La Chauve-Souris, the romantic ballet Giselle, and Chinese New Year (The Nutcracker Chinese Version), as well as symphony ballet Inspiration and Glory and Ode to Joy, the Company’s original ballet A Dream of Red Mansions. And he also danced the major roles in Carmen, The Crane Calling, Don Quixote, Onegin, The Little Mermaid and other Chinese and foreign ballets.
In October 2014, Chen Zhuming won the First Prize of Division C and the biggest award in the 5th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools & Dance Performance. In November 2015, He participated in the Asia division of YAGP and won the scholarship. And in 2016, he won the Gold Medal of Junior Division in the 8th Helsinki International Ballet Competition, Finland.
