Wang Jiyu graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2013 and entered the National Ballet of China in the same year.

He has danced the main characters in Songs and Dances of the Earth, and many repertoires of the Company, like The Red Detachment of Women, The Nutcracker (Chinese Version), The Firebird, Raise the Red Lantern, Swan Lake,La Bayadère, The Crane Calling, The Light of Heart, The Peony Pavilion,Giselle, The Yellow River, etc.

In 2006, Wang Jiyu took part in the 1st National Ballet Invitational and won the Third Prizeof Junior Group. He won the Third Prize of Youth Group in the 10th National Dance Competition (Taoli Cup) in 2012.
