Soloist of the National Ballet of China, and the National Second-class Dancer.
Graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2014, Yan Hualong joined the National Ballet of China in the same year.
After entering the Company, he has starred as the lead dancer in the modern ballet Song of Life, Roland Petit's L'Arlésienne and Carmen, Ben Stevenson's Cinderella, as well as the ballet productions Yimeng and The Nine-Colored Deer, and performed in the second movement of the symphonic ballet Inspiration and Glory. His notable roles include "Lao Si" in The Red Detachment of Women, "Benno" in Swan Lake, both " Ulrich" and " Czardas" in La Chauve-Souris, "the New King" in Hamlet, and "The Elder" in Rhapsody of the Wilderness. He has also appeared in numerous Chinese and foreign ballet including Don Quixote, Raise the Red Lantern, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, La Sylphide, Chinese New Year (The Nutcracker Chinese Version) , The Crane Calling, Yellow River, and Flying Against the Wind.
In 2015, he performed Le Corsaire Pas De Deux for the Hong Kong Dance Company Children's Troupe on behalf of NBC. In 2022, he was invited as a guest principal dancer to perform in the ballet The Nutcracker with Canada's Goh Ballet.
