Soloist of National Ballet of China.
Graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2021, Sun Pengxiang joined the National Ballet of China in the same year.
After entering the Company,he has danced the leading roles in Ben Stevenson's Cinderella, George Balanchine's Serenade, Natalia Makarova's Swan Lake, as well as Roland Petit's Carmen and La Chauve-Souris. He has also performed in Chinese and international ballet productions such as The Yellow River, Flying Against the Wind, Hamlet, Yimeng and The Red Detachment of Women.
In 2018, he won the Gold Award in Junior Group C at the 3rd Tokyo World Ballet Tournament in Japan; Executive Director's Award in Junior Category at the 15th Seoul International Dance Competition in South Korea, Third Prize in Group B at the 6th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools. In 2019, he won the Gold Award in Junior Male's Group B at the 5th Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition, First Prize in Group A at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Asian Semi-final in Beijing and received apprenticeship offers from American Ballet Theatre (ABT) and Hong Kong Ballet. In 2020, he won the Bronze Award in Junior Category at the South Africa International Ballet Competition.
