In May, the Beijing Tianqiao Theater was filled with guests for the "Commemorating Gala for the 110th Anniversary of the Birth of Dai Ailian". The performances were not only a heartfelt tribute to Dai Ailian's artistic life but also as a vivid practice of her belief in "staying rooted in the dance culture of the Chinese nation."

The event was hosted by Huang Doudou, Vice Chairman of the China Dancers Association, and Cao Shuci, Assistant Ballet Mistress of the National Ballet of China.
