Eighteen years after its world premiere, the National Ballet of China’s original classic ballet The Peony Pavilion has returned to the stage with a fresh, youthful reinterpretation, meticulously refined by the original creative team led by director Li Liuyi. The revival’s inaugural run has been successfully completed.

Highlights from July 23-26

Under the baton of Principal Conductor Liu Ju and led by Assistant Music Director Wang Xiaomao, the NBC Symphony Orchestra wove notes into the gentlest foundation for the dreams unfolding on stage.
