Choreographer and dancer of NBC, and the National First-class Dancer.
Zhang Zhenxin joined the National Ballet of China in 2007. He was appointed as the Director in Chief of the 2nd, 4th and 8th Ballet Workshop Evening of NBC. He has individually choreographed and danced a number of modern ballets like Close Your Eyes When It's Getting Dark, Hue of Dawn, About the Dream-Longing, Xianglian, the Competing Lotus, An Ending without Result, Next Round, Sailing My Dreams Away, The Journey Home and Fusing, etc. He has worked as one of the choreographers in The Crane Calling, Like Flowers and the symphony ballet Inspiration and Glory.
Zhang Zhenxin won the Outstanding Youth Choreographer Award in the National Art Troupes Festival of China, the Silver Medal as well as the Best Dancer Award of Ballet Group in the 7th National Television Dance Competition of China. His modern ballet Close Your Eyes When It's Getting Dark has nominated as the Best Choreography at the 19th Benois de la Dance in Moscow. He obtained the Dance WEB scholarship in ImPulsTanz - Vienna International Dance Festival and got the Asian Cultural Council(ACC) scholarship.
As a guest artist, Zhang Zhenxin has been invited to many artistic activities. He has collaborated with the renowned British choreographer Akram Khan, participating in his company's performance of the contemporary dance works - Bahok and Confluence. At the invitation of Hamburg Ballet, he created and performed the modern work Fusing on the stage of Nijiinsky GALA. Since 2019, he has participated in the activities of “Top Dancers” into Campus organized by the China Dancers Association for many times and served as a judge for several times.
