Following the successful performance of Chinese New Year by the National Ballet of China in Rio de Janeiro, Deputy Consul General Wang Haitao from the Chinese Consulate General in Rio extended his congratulations to all cast and crew of NBC.

On the evening of October 9 (local time in Brazil), at the Cidade das Artes theater in Rio de Janeiro, the National Ballet of China successfully staged the ballet Chinese New Year, marking the beginning of the second stop of its Brazil tour.

Highlights

It is especially noteworthy that this performance invited local dancer Romilton and more than ten students from local dance schools to participate in the group dance of "Foreign Friend" and "The Little Gold Ingots".

After the performance, Secretary Zhang Jian presented the picture book Chinese New Year as gifts to the invited dancers, both adults and children.

From October 10 to 12 (Brazil time), the National Ballet of China will continue to present four performances of Chinese New Year at the Cidade das Artes theater in Rio de Janeiro. We look forward to welcoming more Brazilian audiences to the theater, inviting them to experience the traditional Chinese culture.
