South Africa local time on July 18, 2020 at 9:00 p.m., the world's first online international ballet competition, the 7th South African International Ballet Competition was successfully concluded. Xinyue Zhao and Chongzheng Guan, the outstanding new generation dancers from National Ballet of China, won gold medals in classical and modern ballet competitions in their respective groups, while Mengxuan Yan and Zihan Kong, students of the Dance School of National Ballet of China, also achieved good results of one silver and two bronze medals in the competition.

The 7th South African International Ballet Competition, originally scheduled to take place at the Artscape Opera House from 13 to 18 July, 2020, has taken a leap into the online space and be held virtually due to the impact of the epidemic. Director Feng Ying, who was invited by the Competition Organizing Committee to be a judge in as early as 2019, also watched, communicated and evaluated the contestants' videos online for the first time together with award-winning ballet experts from all over the world.

Director Feng Ying and the judges of the South African International Ballet Competition reviewed, discussed and communicated online, and scored the contestants strictly and carefully during the online selection process.
