Guan Wenting

        Dancer and Répétiteur of NBC, and the National First-class Dancer.

        Graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2006, Guan Wenting joined the National Ballet of China as a soloist in the same year. From 2012 to 2017, she served as the Principal Dancer with the Dutch National Ballet. She returned to the National Ballet of China in 2018.

        During her time with the company, she has starred Études, Chinese New Year (The Nutcracker Chinese Version) , Swan Lake, The Yellow River, and danced the leading roles in many ballets like La Bayadère, Carmen, Don Quixote, Jewels, The Peony Pavilion, A Dream of Red Mansions, etc. She has also performed The Red Detachment of Women, Raise the Red Lantern, Onegin, Giselle, Sylvia, Romeo and Juliet, Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.3, The Crane Calling, The Light of Heart, Inspiration and Glory, Ode to Joy and other Chinese and foreign repertoires of the Company.

        In Netherland, she has starred Swan Lake, Giselle, La Bayadère, Jewels, Apollo, etc. She has cooperated with Wayne McGregor, the resident choreographer of The Royal Ballet, in his Chroma, Christopher Wheeldon, choreographer and artistic associate of The Royal Ballet, in his Cinderella and many ballets by Hans van Manen, choreographer of Dutch National Ballet.

        As a guest artist, she has been invited to dance the Études with Ballet De Santiago in 2011. In 2007, she won the Golden Medal of the Female Group in Shanghai International Ballet Competition. While she won the Gold Medal of the Female Group in the Moscow International Ballet Competition in 2009.

        In 2025, she participated in the 15th Ballet Workshop as a choreographer for the first time with her work An Unknown Place.
