Wu Menglan graduated from The Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2013, and joined the National Ballet of China in the same year. There, she danced Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, La Chauve-Souris, La Bayadère, The Rite of Spring, Romeo and Juliet, The Little Mermaid, The Red Detachment of Women, The Yellow River, The Peony Pavilion, The Nutcracker (Chinese Version), Raise the Red Lantern, and The Crane Calling etc.. She also participated in the domestic tour of the Company and the performances of High Arts into Campus.
In 2018, Wu Menglan graduated from Beijing Normal University with bachelor degree in education management. She had worked in The Amateur Ballet School of NBC as a ballet teacher from September 2017 to 2019. Since September 2019, she served as ballet teacher in The School of the National Ballet of China as well as the project named College and High Arts Involved in the Primary School Education.
She has danced the excerpts of The Red Detachment of Women in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2014 and the Class of the Top Dancers hold by China Dancers Association. In 2019, she danced one of the leading roles of "Yu Rong" in the ballet for children named Little Sisters of Grassland.
