Principal Dancer of National Ballet of China
Graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2007, Fang Mengying had worked in Universal Ballet since 2007, later she entered the National Ballet of China in July, 2015.
In South Korea, she has starred the Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Shim Chung, and danced the La Bayadère Act III pas de deux. She has starred the soloist such as “Myrtha” in Giselle, “Lilac fairy” in The Sleeping Beauty, as well as other soloists in Don Quixote. After she entered National Ballet of China, she has danced the leading roles in Natalia Makarova's Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Roland Petit's Carmen, and Giselle, Songs and Dances of the Earth, Jewels, Chinese New Year (The Nutcracker Chinese Version), Like Flowers, Inspiration and Glory, A Dream of Red Mansions, Ode to Joy and other Chinese and foreign repertoires of the Company. She also danced the major roles in John Neumeier's The Little Mermaid as well as The Red Detachment of Women, The Crane Calling, The Light of Heart, Four Seasons, Raise the Red Lantern, The Peony Pavilion, The Yellow River, La Chauve-Souris, Bakhta, and In the Chrysanthemum Garden and other Chinese and foreign ballet works.
She won the Gold Medal of Junior Division B in the 8th National Dance Competition (Taoli Cup) in 2006.
