Yan Hualong graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2014 and entered the National Ballet of China in the same year.
He has danced the main roles in Chinese and foreign ballets such as Swan Lake, The Red Detachment of Women, La Sylphide, Chinese New Year (The Nutcracker Chinese Version) and The Yellow River, and danced the leading roles in Carmen, L'arlesienne by Roland Petit, The Nine-Colored Deer, Cinderella by Ben Stevenson and the original ballet Yimeng.
In 2015, he performed Le Corsaire Pas De Deux for the Hong Kong Dance Company Children's Troupe on behalf of NBC. In 2017, he went to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center with the Company to participate in the "Cultural Performance to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong's return". He has danced the modern ballet The Song of Life as the leading role in the Second "Far East International Art Festival" in Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Russia and the "Xiangjiang Mid-Autumn Festival Gala" in Hong Kong in 2017 as well as the 2nd Astana "Eurasian Dance Festival" in Kazakhstan in 2018.
