On September 1, 2020, all the teachers and students of the Dance School of National Ballet of China held the opening ceremony of the 2020-2021 academic year and the presentation of the choreography and creation works during summer vacation in the auditorium. In this opening ceremony, Feng Ying, the Director and Artistic Director of National Ballet of China as well as President of the Dance School of National Ballet of China, Yang Xiong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Company, Deputy Director Wang Jishu, Deputy Director and Deputy President of the Dance School of National Ballet of China Zhang Jian, President of Beijing Yucai School (cooperator in running the school with the Dance School of National Ballet of China) and Executive Vice President of the Dance School of National Ballet of China Sang Chunmao, and Qi Jianjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Yucai School and Vice President of the Dance School of National Ballet of China, attended together, which showed great importance of the special opening ceremony.

Ma Xueqiang, Director of Teaching and Research Department of the Dance School of National Ballet of China, presided over the ceremony.

President Feng Ying and President Sang Chunmao gave awards to Yan Mengxuan and Kong Zihan, the winners of the 7th South African International Ballet Competition Online in July this year.

After the brief opening ceremony, the students showed their elaborately choreographed dance works during the holiday on the stage. In the process of choreographing and creating, the students learned to observe life, which stimulated artistic creativity, and even taught themselves the skills of music editing, thus greatly improving their comprehensive ability.
