At 19:30 on February 7, the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra will come to the Concert Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts under the conduction of Zhang Yi, a renowned conductor and the Music Director of NBC.
The concert will begin with the well-known Chinese orchestral music Spring Festival Overture.
After the Spring Festival Overture, the orchestra will perform another classic Chinese music—the Violin Concerto The Butterfly Lovers.
Huang Bin, the violinist, winner of the Paganini International Violin Competition and Director of Orchestral Instruments Department at the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing, will serve as the soloist.
After the above Chinese works, the orchestra will bring the Quatre Paisat, which is composed by the outstanding Spanish Isaac Albéniz, the composer at the end of the 19th century and rearranged by the contemporary Spanish composer Albert Guinovart. In addition, this concert is worth special attention for being the Chinese premiere of this work.
And at last, after the official programs, the orchestra will dedicate a surprise to the audience -- Great National Unity by the famous Chinese composer Yu Jingjun.
