The National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra have scheduled to organize our first concert of the Year of the Ox on the night of March 28. We are going to present a concert of Classic Music from Chinese and Western Ballets with about 20 excerpts from six masterpieces beloved by ballet lovers under the baton of Resident Conductor Liu Ju.

The audience will enjoy Tchaikovsky's most famous opera Eugene Onegin Act II selection Splendid Polonaise, three selections from the ballet The Maid of the Sea by Wu Zuqiang and Du Mingxin, Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" selection, Soviet composer Aram Ilitch Khatchaturian's dance masterpiece Spartak, the selection from the Chinese ballet Son and Daughter of the Grassland by composers Ge Guangrui, Cheng Kai and Shi Fu, Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake, and five popular excerpts from The Red Detachment of Women, namely the Prelude, Changqing Showing the Way, Drill of the Women Soldiers, The Merry Dance of the Girl Soldiers, and Take Advantage of the Victory.
