↑ The posts of Ballet Workshop
On the historic occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2021, National Ballet of China has scheduled the 11th Ballet Workshop, a project funded by the Beijing Culture and Arts Fund in 2020, with the theme of "Keep Creative". With the outstanding young choreographer Wang Sizheng as the general director, the Evening will present 7 works by choreographers Li Jun, Li Yang, Zheng Yu, Peng Jie and Wang Le (guest), as well as the excellent dancer Liu Xuechen and She Zhaohuan, who are fresh in choreography. As for the music, apart from the classic music pieces of Ludwig van Beethoven, Arvo Pärt, Christian Löffler, Zoe Keating, Max Richter and "Endless Melancholy", there are also original music composed by new Chinese composers A-Yan, Zhao Nan and Sun Ye. The stage art production will be undertaken by the excellent young stage artists of NBC, namely He Yuyun, Gong Xun, Wang Duo and Liu Xin as the Stage Designers, Liu Zhao, Han Song and Zhou Shanxingye as the Lighting Designers, He Xiaoxin and Yue Songshan as the Wardrobes and Xu Bin, Li Ziyi and Lyu Jun as the Make-up and Stylists. The Evening will be dedicated to the centenary of the Communist Party of China with the unique perspective and creative expression of young artists through seven new original ballet works with different styles: Missing You Forever, Mountains and Rivers, Beethoven, Before the Dawn, Shades and Marks, The Butterfly Dream and Lonely Planets!
