Performing video of Approaching Ballet on June 6, 2021

On the morning of June 6, a unique performance Approaching Ballet was staged in the Tianqiao Theater. This is another public welfare activitie after "Chasing Dreams - Annual Dancer Assessment", "High Arts into Campus", "High Arts into Community" and " High Arts into Children and Youth". Approaching Ballet is a groundbreaking move which brings the day-to-day practice and rehearsal of NBC dancers to the theater stage, so that the audience can delve further behind the curtain and understand the rich knowledge and connotation of ballet art.

The first program presented in Tianqiao Theater was a ballet salon. Liu Qi, Deputy Leader of Dancers Team, explained the basic ballet knowledge and invited dozens of children for a fun and interactive session.

Then, the practice and rehearsal showcase in the theater was hosted by Répétiteur Yu Bo, with more than ten outstanding young dancers of NBC displaying daily rehearsals to the stage ...

From the movements on the barre such as plie, battement tendu, battement frappe, battement releve lent, to saute, medium jete, battement, tour en l' air, fouette etc., to the final salute and acknowledgement, the whole training process was fully displayed in front of the audience. From time to time, Répétiteur Yu Bo explained the purpose and key points of each training content for the audience, allowing the audience to enjoy the beautiful performance of the dancers while gaining a lot of ballet knowledge.

At last, the outstanding dancers Zhao Xinyue and Guan Chongzheng rehearsed the Black Swan Pas De Deux from the Swan Lake under the guidance of Répétiteur Yu Bo.

The first Approaching Ballet in which NBC brought the daily training of dancers onto the stage was successfully concluded. In the future, we will go on with this form, so that the audience can really "get closer and closer" to ballet art!
