Performing video of "Code of Liszt" concert
On July 29, National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra presented the "Code of Liszt" concert under the baton of the renowned conductor, Music Director of NBC Zhang Yi in National Centre for the Performing Arts, as the closing concert of NCPA 2022 Roam about the Classics concerts.
The concert began with the Overture to Rienzi by Wagner.
Baritone Liu Songhu
NCPA resident singer, baritone Liu Songhu and the Orchestra cooperated to perform the Song cycle Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer) by Mahler.

In the second half of the concert, the repertoires were all works of Liszt. The Orchestra began with Orpheus, symphonic poem No. 4, S.98 by Liszt under the baton of Conductor Zhang Yi.
The next was Mazzepa, symphonic poem No. 6, S.100, and then Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-Sharp Minor.
Conductor and Music Director of NBC Zhang Yi expressed his gratitude to the audience.
Conductor Zhang Yi and the Orchestra made an encore of the allegro part of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-Sharp Minor.
The concert was recorded in high-definition and will be available to online users through the NCPA online performance in the future.
