From August 26 to 30, 2022, National Ballet of China will present the re-staged classic ballet The Little Mermaid by world famous choreographer John Neumeier at Beijing Tianqiao Theater as an anniversary performance to its Chinese debut delivered 10 years ago.

A decade ago, The Little Mermaid was performed in China for the first time by NBC.

Appreciated by Mr. John Neumeier himself, the performance of The Little Mermaid by NBC also produced influence among the art critics.

Yu Ping, former Director of the Artistic Department of Ministry of Culture of PRC and Honorary Dean of the School of Dance of Nanjing University of the Arts: "In this work, we can see the choreographer's understanding of the oriental culture and spirit."
