On August 30, 2022, the 10th anniversary performances for The Little Mermaid Chinese premiere were completed in Beijing Tianqiao Theater. The followings are some interview contents to the Chinese General Répétiteur Zhu Yan and Conductor Zhang Yi.

On the Chinese Premiere of The Little Mermaid on September 24, 2012, Zhu Yan became the first

"The little Mermaid" in China.

On September 24, 2012, Zhu Yan performed as "The little Mermaid".

In the rehearsals for the 10th anniversary performances for The Little Mermaid Chinese premiere,

 Zhu Yan carefully explained and guided the movements for the main dancers of this round.

Zhu Yan said, "John Neumeier's ballet The Little Mermaid, has played a vital role in the inner growth of the NBC performers, and also has a reference value for how our company and even all dancers should create and lead the development of Chinese art!"

In the 10th anniversary performances for The Little Mermaid Chinese premiere, Music Director of

NBC Zhang Yi conducted the Symphony Orchestra of NBC for live music performances.

Conductor Zhang Yi took the stage for a curtain call after the performance of The Little Mermaid

on August 30, 2022.

Zhang Yi said, "Ten years later, the NBC Symphony Orchestra has come a long way in performing this ballet. The orchestra has evolved so quickly that the Theramin performance, which once required a guest musician, now can now be performed entirely by our own. It is a good example for the result of our innovation and development."

A decade is a memorial and a beginning. In the future, NBC's The Little Mermaid will forge ahead and deliver the beauty of ballet wider, deeper and further!
