The artists of the National Ballet of China, led by Deputy Director Zhu Yan, have embarked on the largest domestic tour of the year, with the classic ballets Onegin and Don Quixote, as well as the Chinese ballets The Red Detachment of Women, The Light of Heart and the symphonic ballet Inspiration and Glory being presented to the long-anticipated audiences in Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Zhuzhou, Wuhan, Qingdao, Tianjin and other places. Onegin was the first to take on the stage at Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts to meet the anticipation of the Nanjing audiences.

In the evening's performance, NBC's Prima Ballerina Zhang Jian and Première Danseur Ma Xiaodong played the leading roles of "Tatiana" and "Onegin", and Zhan Xinlu, Wang Jiyu and Wu Dianyu played the main roles "Olga", "Lensky" and "Prince Gremin" respectively.

On the eve before the debut, Xu Gang, Assistant Artistic Director and General Répétiteur of NBC, gave a lively "ballet master class" at the Waterdrop Classroom in Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts.
