In the afternoon of October 2, during intermission of the performances of Swan Lake, the NBC's public welfare popularization performance Approaching Ballet was brilliantly staged in Beijing Tianqiao Theater.

The Approaching Ballet kicked off with a ballet salon in the lobby of the Beijing Tianqiao Theater, hosted by Cheng Xinran from the Artistic Education Department of NBC, who explained the history and knowledge of ballet to the audience and had a courteous interaction with the children.

The young performers, led by Yu Bo, with the piano accompaniment by Yin Yue(Head of the Piano Accompaniment Research Group and Principal Piano Accompaniment) let the audience feel the charm of ballet art at close range.

Cao Shuci, the Prima Ballerina of NBC, gave directions to the young performers Hao Jiaxuan and Bi Ruxin on the rehearsal of the excerpt of Black Swan Pas De Deux from the ballet Swan Lake, While Yu Bo, the Ballet Master Assistant, instructed the young performers Zhou Yue and Sun Pengxiang on the excerpt of the Pas de deux from the ballet Cinderella Act II. At the end of the performance, young performers Zhu Yun and Zhao Baole of NBC performed the Pas de deux from the classic ballet Le Corsaire Act II with makeup for the audience.
