On February 25, the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra will join hands with violinist Huang Bin on the stage of the National Centre for the Performing Arts under the baton of famous conductor Tan Lihua, the principal guest conductor of NBC, to pay tribute to "Eternal Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky".
The first music piece of this concert is an excerpt from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, which was completed in 1892.
What followed is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major.
Director of Orchestral Instruments Department of China Conservatory of Music, the violinist Huang Bin will play the violin solo of this work.
In the second half of the concert, NBC Symphony Orchestra will perform Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's greatest symphony masterpiece Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique" in B minor under the baton of conductor Tan Lihua.
