On April 22, National Ballet of China once again brought an art popularization activity Approaching Ballet to the audience at Beijing Tianqiao Theater.

Before the performance, Zhang Tiao, a member of the Art Education Department of NBC hosted the "Ballet Salon" in the front hall of the theater.

The activity was hosted by Wang Qimin, the Prima Ballerina of NBC.

Under the live performance of piano accompaniments Bai Yijie and Yin Yue, and under the guidance of Wang Qimin, a new group of young trainee dancers of NBC showed the audience their daily training and the rehearsal of excerpts from Le Corsaire and Variations for Four. NBC's trainee dancers, Liu Lejin and Chen Zhifang, performed The Sleeping Beauty Pas de Deux with makeup.

Qiu Yunting, Prima Ballerina of NBC, and Li Wentao, Principal Dancer of NBC brought the audience a wonderful performance of "Reading the Romance at the Western Chamber" Pas de Deux from A Dream of Red Mansions, which was last and best play of the activity.

Bai Yijie brought live piano accompaniment.
