"This is a dance drama music with Chinese classical romanticism, which shows the splendid picture of our national culture in the form of western music." Said Ye Xiaogang, Composor of the ballet version of A Dream of Red Mansions.

"The music for A Dream of Red Mansions shall be closely related to our national aesthetics with diverse configurations in terms of harmony, orchestration and instrumentation, which makes the music rich and not monotonous."

As the music for ballet dance, Ye Xiaogang has composed corresponding themes for several major characters such as "Jia Baoyu", "Lin Daiyu" and "Grandma Jia".
