From November 17 to 19, 2023, National Ballet of China will premiere of the symphonic ballet Ode to Joy at Beijing Tianqiao Theater.

Premiered in 1824, the Symphony No.9 in d Minor, Op.125 is the greatest masterpiece of Beethoven. The chorus of the fourth movement is composed to the words of Schiller's Ode to Joy, the most famous theme of this symphony.

NBC has pulled together a young but strong creative team for the creation.

The dancers of the symphonic ballet Ode to Joy is a star-studded one, with a collection of NBC's top-notch dancers

In order to achieve the ultimate artistic presentation, NBC also invited a 80 members chorus of the China National Symphony Orchestra to jointly complete the first performance blending together ballet, symphony and chorus.

From November 17 to 19, let's enjoy the premiere of NBC's symphonic ballet Ode to Joy, opening the 10th anniversary of the "China International Ballet Season".
