National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra will give its first concert in the Year of the Dragon. On February 23rd, Zhang Yi, the famous conductor and music director of National Ballet of China, will conduct “NBC Symphony Orchestra” to present a theme concert called “Winter Bonfire” together with the Deep Space Children’s Chorus at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Five masterpieces of Chinese and foreign music, including Winter Bonfire by former Soviet musician Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev (this is the premiere of this work in China), will be staged.

Prokofiev’s symphonic suite Winter Bonfire , the theme work of this concert, will have its Chinese premiere more than 70 years later after the creation in 1950.
