To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China (PRC), NBC will present five performances of La Chauve-Souris in Beijing Tianqiao Theater from October 3rd to 7th. At the same time, the ballet is also one of the key performances of NBC’s participation in the “2024 National Art Troupe Performance Season”.
NBC has presented five works of Roland Petit on the stage
2024 is the centenary of the French ballet choreographer Roland Petit’s birthday. This year, NBC staged many masterpieces of Roland Petit to commemorate this artist who has a deep friendship with the Company.
In 2005, Master Roland Petit came to Beijing to give directions in the rehearsal for Zhu Yan and Yu Bo.
In November, 2005, after the premiere of Carmen, L'arlesienne and Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, Roland Petit took the stage and made a curtain call with Zhu Yan and other leading roles.
The fusion of ballet and comedy, the fusion of fable and life
The ballet La Chauve-Souris, which will be staged from October 3rd to 7th, was created by Roland Petit in 1979.

The new lineup of dancers will restage this classic ballet with youth and passion
Ten years later, NBC will restage the gorgeous and famous scenes in ballet La Chauve-Souris with a brand-new lineup of dancers.
NBC specially invited Luigi Bonino, the Acting Supervisor of this ballet, to the Company to give directions to the dancers.
NBC also invited Gao Shiqi, a doctor of vocal music from the Central Conservatory of Music as the guest tenor in the ballet.
From October 3rd to 7th, let’s meet at Beijing Tianqiao Theater and walk into the wonderful world of La Chauve-Souris. We will enjoy an audio-visual feast of music and dance!
