On the evening of September 6, 2020, the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra's first original large-scale symphonic work, Symphony of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had its grand premiere at the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
From the invitation of participants, the creation and rehearsal, then to its premiere, Symphony of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei spans more than two years, fully demonstrating the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra's determination to spread contemporary Chinese symphonic works and tell Chinese stories, as well as its dedication to polishing exquisite works and presenting the audience with the best art.
Under the conduction of Zhang Yi, the renowned conductor and the Music Director of the National Ballet of China, National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra presented Three Fables, Three Stories and Three Chapters of the Symphony, which focuses respectively on the fables of China's outstanding traditional culture, exemplary deeds of outstanding Communist Party members and major strategies for the collaborative development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It is just like a scroll painted with colorful brushstrokes of symphony, which is slowly presented to the audience through the exquisite interpretation of the musicians.
