Yan Qingyun is studying for her master degree of arts. She has won three bronze medals in the National Dance Competition (Taoli Cup). She used to be a teacher at Beijing Dance Academy for one year and now teaches at The School of NBC.
Yan Qingyun was admitted to the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 1999. She won the bronze medal in the smallest group in the National Dance Competition (Taoli Cup) in 2003 and the bronze medal in the junior group in 2006. After graduation, she joined the National Ballet of China as a coryphée.
She was admitted to the Ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy in 2011. In 2012, she won the bronze medal in the youth group in the National Dance Competition (Taoli Cup) and starred in Swan Lake. After graduation with bachelor degree, she became a teaching assistant in 2015. In the same year, she was admitted to Beijing Dance Academy as a graduate student. In 2016, she joined the National Ballet of China again.
During her stay in National Ballet of China, she has danced “Wife” in Raise the Red Lantern, "White Swan” in Swan Lake, “Xue Baochai” in A Dream of Red Mansions, "Medora” in Le Corsaire Act III. She also danced The Red Detachment of Women, Giselle, The Nutcracker (Chinese Version), Romeo and Juliet, Onegin, Sylvia, Carmen, The Yellow River, Serenade, The Sleeping Beauty, The Butterfly Lovers, La Bayadère, The Black Swan, Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.3, The Dying Swan, etc. and many modern ballet works. She has also repeatedly cooperated with world's top choreographers in creating modern dance works. She has performed in Opéra de Paris, the Royal Opera House, Amsterdam Opera House in Holland and other world art halls.
