Liu Xuechen graduated from The Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy in 2013, and joined the National Ballet of China in the same year.
She performed in Etude and Serenade in School. After she joined the Company, she danced as Gamzatti in Natalia Makarova's La Bayadère, the Queen of Forest in Don Quixote, Myrtha in Giselle, etc. She also danced in repertoires such as The Red Detachment of Women, Raise the Red Lantern, Onegin, Carmen, The Nutcracker (Chinese version), The Peony Pavilion, The Crane Calling, The Light of Heart, Songs and Dances of the Earth etc.
She has won Silver Award in the 3rd Beijing International Ballet Invitational, Silver Award of youth group in the 10th National Dance Competition (Tao Li Cup), Silver Award of classic dance youth group in the 2nd Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition. She ranked the seventh in 2012 United-States YAGP Competition. In 2018, she won the Gold Medal of senior group in Miami International Ballet Competition, USA.
